This workshop, linked to the ANR HistoRYS project, focuses on understanding how time dependent and direction dependent deformation histories shape the mechanical response of yield stress fluids. Building on the insight that the evolution of microscopic structure is central to these history effects, the workshop brings together complementary approaches across scales.
We combine experimental investigations at the microscopic level using dynamic light scattering and at the macroscopic level through rheological measurements with multiscale numerical simulations and theoretical modeling. By bridging microstructural dynamics and macroscopic mechanical behavior, the workshop aims to identify the key mechanisms underlying memory, anisotropy, and history dependent rheology in soft amorphous materials.
